In the school year 2015-2016 your child will:

 

Academics

-We will learn all the letters of the alphabet, their sounds, and how to print them.

-We will learn our numbers, 1 through 30, the days of the week, and the months of the year, by doing our calendar daily.

-We will learn our phone numbers, birthdays, and addresses.

-We are excited with our new Religion and Science series.

-We will learn basic Math concepts like sorting, order, same and different. 

-We will learn to recognize and print our names.

Community

-We participate in the food pantry collections; teaching us to help those in need.

-During the Christmas season, our Pre-K students will be participating in a Giving Tree in cooperation with St. Alphonsus Church

-We participated in Earth Day Clean up outside around the Church and School

This month we are learning:

Religion: Advent & Christmas

Science:Magnets, Senses, predicting

Math: Solid figures, plane figures

ELA: We will be learning letters H-J, and numbers 8-10. We will be tracing the letters, and learning their sounds.

December Dates to remember:

December 8th; Picture retake day. Mass 9:00 St. Alphonsus Church Pre-K attending, please be here by 8:40

December 11th: Breakfast with Santa 9:00-9:30. Christmas tree activity in our room 9:30-10:15

December 23rd: 15 minute go home early drill ALL pre- K students dismissed at 2:15, no after care

December 24-January 4th: Christmas vacation, Merry Christmas!!

School Closing and Delay information: St. Joseph School follows the Auburn School District, if they are closed or delayed to due snow/weather, we are as well. There will not be a specific listing for St. Joseph School. Please watch channel 9,3, or 5 for that information.
