Welcome to Mrs. Davia’s Preschool Class
December
Here we go…. into one of the busiest seasons of the year. I know it is going to be one filled with fun here in Mrs. Davia’s room. I look forward to hearing from the children about all the fun Christmas traditions and activities that they are doing at home. This month we will be busy learning about the Christmas season and doing a lot of fun activities. We will continue to work on our pre-writing and fine motor skills like playing with playdoh, cutting, tweezing, clothespins, coloring, and painting. We will also continue to work on letters, sounds, numbers, colors, shapes, and name recognition. We will also continue to talk about all of our blessings, being thankful, and giving to others in need.
In Religion we will be learning about Advent, acts of kindness, and the Christmas season.
Colder Weather
We will continue to go outside every day weather permitting so please dress your child appropriately. Sweatshirts, coats, hats, boots, mittens, and even snow pants if needed. Fresh air and outdoor play is very important.  I like to get the children outside even if it is only for a short time.
Important Reminders:
December 8th: Feast of the Immaculate Conception Mass at St. Alphonsus church at 9am
December 11th: Breakfast with Santa in the cafeteria at 9:00-9:30 followed by Christmas tree cones in our classroom
