During the School Year 2016-2017 your child will learn:
-All the letters of the alphabet and what sound they make
-The numbers 1-30, days of the week, months of the year, all by doing our calendar daily
-How to cut with scissors
-Colors, shapes
-How to print their first name, as well as recognize their last name
-Their address, phone number, and birthday
-Math concepts like: same/different, big/small, patterns
–Science we will learn things like, weather, rocks, solar system
-Religion: God made our world, how to live The Golden Rule,thankfulness through prayer, how to be a good friend
We have gym on Monday & Wednesday, please have sneakers.

ELA: Letters P-S
Math: Number 16-20 Positional words, in front of, behind ect
Science: Dental Health Month
Religion: Families
February Dates to Know:
February 2nd: Special Persons Day for Pre K 9;30-10:30
February 3rd: Mass 10:00 Pre K attending, Box Snack in the afternoon, free pizza lunch for all students. Flavors of the Fingerlakes 6-10pm tickets in office
February 10th Half day all students 11:15 dismissal for Pre K, NO AFTER SCHOOL CARE
February 14th Valentines Day, wear red!
February 20-24 Mid winter recess, No school
For weather/school closings: We go with the Auburn School District, if they are delayed, we will be as well, if they are closed, we are as well, if they have an early release due to snow/ice, we will as well. Please tune into Channels 3,5 or 9 for that information. I will also post information on our school Facebook page, and send a Bloomz reminder as well. There will NOT be a specific listing for a weather closing for St. Joseph School.
