December:
In reading we have added the letters Nn and Cc. We are getting much better at blending and decoding, although it is awfully hard to concentrate with Christmas on the way! Keep reading at home, and ask your child to read to you.
In math we are working on the terms “greater than, less than and equal”. Keep counting and writing numbers to 20.
In Religion we are learning about Advent, and the many ways we can prepare for Jesus’ birthday. We will start an Advent calendar on Thursday.
In Social Studies we are very excited about Christmas Around the World. Thanks to all the parents who have responded so quickly. I know this is a very busy time, and I appreciate that you are taking time to help out!
